Past Retreaters

"We didn't have bears, but everything else we needed for a great yoga weekend for eight. The kitchen was especially well set up. The deck across the entire west side of the house was our yoga studio with a sunset view through the forest. The trail to Bearwallow Mountain is clearly marked — this is an area with many hiking trails."

— L.H.

"My 3-day yoga retreat with Allie in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina was truly something special. I went in hoping to relax and recharge, but I came away feeling so much more — nourished, grounded, connected, and genuinely cared for. Allie put so much love and thought into every single detail. And the food… absolutely amazing. Every meal was plant-based, vegan, fresh-cooked, gourmet, and delicious. I left with a full heart, a calmer mind, and so much gratitude."

— S.P.

"Such magical yoga sessions on the covered deck in the forest. Allie worked hard at food prep of delicious vegan meals. Will remember the special weekend forever."

— M.D.

"The yoga was both deeply relaxing and powerful, and Allie was an exceptional instructor. She is incredibly knowledgeable about yoga and the body, and I especially appreciated how she offered modifications for poses to help prevent pain and injury. The vegan meals were absolutely amazing — healthy, creative, and delicious! I left feeling refreshed, restored, and grateful."

— M.M.

"The Fall 2026 retreat at Bearwallow Mountain was nothing less than spectacular. With Allie's loving and careful guidance, we got lots of yoga and spiritual time. The vegan meals were freshly cooked and delicious. The camaraderie was inspiring, and new meaningful friendships flourished. I came back restored, centered, and at peace — with a bundle of great recipes, new friends, and a well-cared-for body."
